Alternative title: why you should care about Occupy and Anonymous.

Asmoday’s made his involvement in various movements quite clear, as well as his motives. Even so, it’s difficult to see how this is at all relevant to those of us on the path of self. Desire is holy, ambition trumps everything. How does activism come into it? Isn’t that the territory of love-n-light, “I haven’t taken a shower since 95″ types?

On the contrary; the left-hand path is largely defined by rebellion and when the social order has allowed injustices so grievous that everyone suffers it is our duty to step forth and resist, not because the masses need a savior but because we ourselves have been hurt, and those we care about have been or will be harmed, too. If you’ve polarized and you’re committed to the path it’s impossible to stay still in the face of such broad and reckless strokes by the ruling class. What one does isn’t set in stone but surely something will stir inside you, something subtle that may at first be hard to recognize and act upon but which relates to events on a big scale.

You are an individual, a common miracle and an unique copy. From that level of awareness it’s hard to grasp what’s going on around us but it’s imperative to do so because we are weak and vulnerable when we don’t. That means stepping beyond the realm of what’s comfortable and reading between the lines.

This is a subject that can easily be expanded into a series beyond what papa negro has already done with Dependency and Systems That Control You

For now let’s focus on information, because without accurate information it’s impossible to empower ourselves, and one way to gain it is to project the consequences of things in motion.

If you’re on the internet, you should be aware of the 2012 NDAA which allows for indefinite detention of US citizens. If not, take a moment to read up on it. It’s one of a myriad of things which have infringed on the rights of Americans, not to mention the failed attempts with SOPA and PIPA. The immediate response is usually that things aren’t so bad-none of this will be abused to an extent that it impacts law abiding citizens. This is wrong, from a historical as well as a pragmatic perspective. If you assume you’re safe just because your name isn’t Aamir then you’re missing the big picture.

Rule 1-if the law allows for the abuse of power, power will be abused. This isn’t conspiracy, it’s convenience. If you had the ability to legally shut down anyone who protested your company or institution would you not use it? The slippery slope argument is a fallacy, but it’s not a slippery slope if we’re already at the bottom. Police states don’t advertise themselves as such, and they’re not necessarily going to censor everything that’s said against them. Thinking strategically, you don’t want to do that, at least not out of the gate. What you want to do is pinpoint key targets, like Wikileaks, use the media to turn the public against them (or at least muddle the truth) and unleash the nuclear option when you get the chance.

Brute force is never the real threat because it’s a stupid strategy. It always causes a violent reaction unless it’s used in situations where the other side will be crushed by the blow. You want people to think they’re making up their own minds and acting independently while they do what you want. You don’t accomplish that with elaborate conspiracies or rigged elections, you do it by hitting people’s triggers and turning their attention toward trivial matters while you enact another step of your bigger plan.

Just because conspiracy theories are almost always wrong it’s foolish to assume that the people at the top don’t have a plan. You don’t gain control of the government or a major corporation or the food supply or a nation’s oil by accident, you do it by learning how to enact strategies which move you toward your goal while adjusting on the fly. You can call bullshit on most theories because they rely on an intricate series of events to be possible whereas plans never go that smoothly in real life; a system which doesn’t allow for any slack will implode if even the smallest thing goes wrong. A long-term plan with a sound strategy behind it will almost inevitably come to fruition assuming nobody makes any major mistakes, you’ve just got to be willing to adjust the timeline as new circumstances arise.

We’ve seen an incredible boom in technology in the last decade. The tool you’re using to read this is the most amazing thing modern man has achieved. However, it’s not easily controlled, and our politicians don’t like that. They don’t like that because big business doesn’t like it, and big business wants to keep it’s old models going in an economy where it will destroy them, and they want to hide things from us by ensuring their media companies are the only sources of information that we have. If they can’t control that they can’t control us, and if they can’t control us we’ll find out about their irresponsibility, their waste, their environmental damage, their violations of our rights, their use of sweatshop labor. If we’re informed we might not be so eager to fill our role as the consumers of their goods, and if we’re free to create and share we might not be so eager to give them our money in order to stay entertained.

If we have options, we won’t follow the rails they placed us on and that means they can’t predict what we’ll do. If they can’t do that, they’ll lose their place at the top and we’ll replace them. They’re so desperately afraid of that that they’ll do everything they can to destroy the ladder intended for the worthy.

The system isn’t evil. The system is necessary. However, you can’t have too much power allocated at any one point otherwise it causes an imbalance which triggers chaos. Most people reading this are not at the top. Certainly the people who stand to benefit from this site are just getting started. If we are gods in flesh, divinity screaming to be unleashed, then there’s no force on this planet which can prevent that. When someone tries, it ensures collapse. This isn’t karma, it’s not divine punishment, it’s the result of mere cause and effect. When people have nothing to lose they will take everything you have. If they go down, you go down with them. This is another side of restraint-if you apply too much pressure the rest of humanity will act like white blood cells and treat you as a virus. It’s not only a shock to the system, it’s using your own divinity to turn upon yourself-and that’s exactly what’s happening within our government and within big business.

This is your chance. The system as it exists is going to crumble. Our day to day lives may not be impacted much, in fact the sleepers may not even notice, but we’re due for a change, the only question is whether we’ll live in a free society or an invisible cage. The latter hurts us as much as it does anyone, and whatever ambitions one has they’re more easily achieved in an egalitarian society. The reason this is so bloody important is because this is your chance to choose. Your actions now and from today forward tell the world exactly where you stand. You can say what you want but unless your actions align with it you’re allowing chance to decide your future.

If you’ve read this far you’re better than that. Get to it, soldier. This is a war for your right to take the throne. Whether you win or lose is up to you.
